And What Apparel is a lifestyle brand, created by husband & wife team, Jesse & Andy Druxerman. Based in the small mountain town of Fernie, British Columbia, AWA emerged as a means for the couple to express their creativity and individuality.
And What?
A term Andy used early in the relationship to let others know that she wasn't scared to be a little different and stand out from the crowd. When coming up with company names back in late 2012, Jesse fondly recalled Andy's unapologetic use of the term along with her attitude toward style and individuality. The term stuck and, well, if you don't like it... And What?
Bleached (r)Evolution
Since screen printing their first tees back in early 2013 the duo realized that they needed to evolve their process to fit the company principles and to set And What Apparel apart from the sea of street wear brands. Thus the bleaching idea and process was born and has evolved into what you see today.
All AWA garments are hand-bleached, one of a kind pieces of wearable art.
